New Technology of Low Frequency Flexible Power Supply
Recently, a new technology called low-frequency flexible power supply has attracted widespread attention. This technology adopts advanced power supply methods and can provide stable and reliable power support for various low-frequency devices.
Xinhua News Agency, Hangzhou, June 30th (Reporter Lin Guangyao) On the 30th, China's 220 kV flexible low-frequency transmission project was put into operation in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. As one of the characteristic supporting projects of the Hangzhou Asian Games, this project will build two high-voltage, high-capacity, and low-frequency converter stations on the east and west sides of the Fuchun River, connecting the load centers of Fuyang and Xiaoshan in Hangzhou, providing flexible electricity support of 300000 kilowatts for the area where the main venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games is located, meeting the peak electricity demand during the event.
220 kV flexible low-frequency transmission project put into operation
On June 30th, China's 220 kV flexible low-frequency transmission project was put into operation in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. This is a flexible low-frequency power transmission project with high voltage level and large transmission capacity in China, which achieves the interconnection and interconnection of the two major load centers in Fuyang and Xiaoshan, Hangzhou. It provides 300000 kilowatts of flexible electricity support for the area where the main venue of the Hangzhou Asian Games is located, meeting the peak electricity demand during the event.
The trend of offshore wind power towards deep and distant seas has led to an increase in the proportion of offshore transmission systems to costs. The efficient collection and economic transmission of large-scale offshore wind energy is also one of the key factors in promoting the parity of offshore wind power.
The North Star Power Transmission and Distribution Network learned that on May 6th, the Hangzhou 220kV Zhongbu frequency conversion station was successfully electrified, achieving controllable frequency conversion of AC 220V voltage level electrical quantities. At this point, the national high-voltage and large-capacity flexible low-frequency transmission project - the Hangzhou 220 kV flexible low-frequency transmission project infrastructure project - has been fully completed, entering the start-up and commissioning stage, and taking another crucial step towards the overall operation.
Recently, the world's first high-voltage and high-capacity low-frequency frequency conversion station, the 220kV Tingshan frequency conversion station, was successfully put into operation. This frequency conversion station has achieved controllable frequency conversion of AC 220V voltage level electricity for the first time in the world, marking a crucial step towards the overall operation of the world's highest voltage level and largest transmission capacity flexible low-frequency transmission project, the 220kV Zhongbu Tingshan flexible low-frequency transmission demonstration project.
On December 23rd, the world's first high-voltage and high-capacity low-frequency frequency converter station, the 220 kV Tingshan frequency converter station, was officially electrified and put into operation in Fuchun Bay New City, Fuyang District, Hangzhou City.
Hangzhou Flexible Low Frequency Transmission Demonstration Project Tingshan Converter Station Live
On December 18th, the Hangzhou Flexible Low Frequency Transmission Demonstration Project - the core equipment M3C frequency converter of the 220 kV Tingshan Frequency Converter Station was successfully unlocked in one go, achieving the first controllable frequency conversion of AC 220 kV voltage level electrical quantities, marking the successful start of electrification of the world's first high-voltage and high-capacity low-frequency frequency converter station - Tingshan Frequency Converter Station. This project is currently the highest voltage level and largest transmission capacity flexible low-frequency transmission project in the world. This electrification signifies a crucial step towards the overall operation of the project.
On August 11, 2022, the "Second Offshore Wind Power Innovation and Development Conference" hosted by Polaris Power Network and Polaris Wind Power Network was held in Nanjing. The conference focuses on thematic topics such as cost reduction of offshore wind power technology, deep-sea exploration, self research and autonomy, industry integration, and moving towards international development, leading the innovative development of the offshore wind power industry.
Low frequency wind turbines are a complete set of technical equipment specifically developed for flexible low-frequency transmission technology. They are a new form of wind turbine power supply that can directly output 20Hz low-frequency AC power through a full power converter, meeting the power side requirements of flexible low-frequency transmission technology. In low-frequency scenarios, the grid friendly control effects of fault traversal, reactive power/voltage control, power quality, and harmonic suppression on the grid side of wind turbines have all changed, and the testing indicators and methods are different from those of power frequency wind turbines.
